1969 boulder opal & silver gilt ring

This is a very distinctive & dramatic ring and very typical of its period! Made in 1969 in silver gilt it has a large abstract shaped polished boulder opal in the centre held in multiple silver gilt organic fingerlike claws above a broad organic textured silver gilt shank. The ring is hallmarked by the London Assay Office for 1969. It has to be tried on to be truly appreciated
